First things first: this is for car audio. A DSP, a measurement mic and REW. Home hi-fi folk are welcome to poke around, but every assumption in here involves a windscreen. As for who made it: not a guru. A hobbyist with too much spare time, who was sick of losing every weekend to hours of tuning, forgetting what he had learned by the next one, and starting again. He writes software for a living, tuning turned out to be mostly maths with a soundtrack, so he taught the computer to do the hours instead.

What you get is this. Sweep each speaker once, tell the Lab what is in the car, pick a house curve that sounds like your kind of thing, and it works out the whole tune for you: crossovers, gains, delays, polarity and EQ, each one with a short note on why. Then it does the clever part, or the lazy part depending on how you look at it. Rather than making you change one setting, sweep, change another, sweep, until the weekend is gone, it predicts how the whole system will behave from that one set of measurements. The predictions land closer than you would expect. Load it, live with it for a few days, then come back and tell it what is annoying you and it will suggest a small thing to try.

Before you ask, no, it was not written on a napkin. The maths is the standard stuff that speaker designers and recording studios have relied on for decades, the house curves are the familiar ones, and the fixes for things like a wandering centre image or a thin vocal come from what seasoned car audio tuners and competition judges have been telling people for years. AI did the heavy lifting of gathering all that into one tool that checks its own working. AI also, occasionally, gets the wrong end of the stick, so there is a feedback button on every page and we would rather hear about it than not.

Now the honest part. This will not turn your car into a competition winner, and if you take the result to a judge they will have opinions. That is fine, that is the hobby. It is built for daily drivers who want a tune with proper low end, a stage that sits in front of them, and a sound they are happy to show off to their mates. There are no promises beyond that, and it cannot hear your car for you, which is why it keeps telling you to listen before you change anything. The upside is that it explains itself as it goes, so you will probably come out the other side understanding more than when you went in.

If it helps, great. If it gets something properly wrong, use the feedback button and tell the person who wrote it. He would genuinely rather know.
